Around Hinduism, Chandra is a lunar deity, later identified by owning Soma. He is white and rides his chariot (the moon) across a sky nightly, pulled by tenner whitecap. He is said to exist as attached by using dew, and in and of itself, occurs as god of fertility. He is the father of Budha, (Planet Mercury) the mother being either Tara or Rohini. He is likewise married to Anuradha and Bharani, both girl of Daksha.

Other meanings
Chandra is likewise a word around Sanskrit, Hindi and other Indian languages for moon. These are a middle title of the Hindu god Rama.

Chandra can as well refer to the Chandra X-ray Observatory or the astronomer Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar.
